Tech Stack used for my website:
Ghost Storyblok CMS - front-end agnostic so that I can 'bring my own' front-end. I will use Ghost Storyblok to query my content.
DigitalOcean - Using Droplets to host my Ghost CMS - removed to save money (had to pay about $10 per month)
Next.js - the front-end of my website. It's the best of both worlds. Keep the Dashboard and Editor on Storyblok's side, and the performance and developer experience on NextJS's side.
TypeScript, JavaScript, and Sass
Hyvor Talk - a plugin for commenting
Vercel - Deployment for the entire website
Cloudinary/Vimeo/YouTube - media assets

On March 2, 2021, I discovered something innovative called JAMStack and headless CMS. Although it took me a month to learn about the frameworks and languages, it was rewarding to see apdv.dev working and learn how to work with new technologies.
I wanted to go for this route because I'm saving a huge amount of money, and this pushes me to learn about frameworks that will be needed in industry jobs once I graduate.
If I used website builders such as Wix and Webflow, it would cost $312 and $173 AUD respectively. I have used them before and enjoyed how they work, although it would not let me use my own custom domain and it is costly since I am living on a tight budget and still a university, international student.
As an aspiring full-stack programmer, I want to learn how to create my own website from scratch and design with no limits. I aim to have an aesthetic interactive design portfolio of my artworks, coding projects, have a blog of my interests, passions, and as a businesswomen to share my knowledge, understanding, and earn money.
Keep yourself up to date with art + tech news and tutorials with insights on my journey - it's free!
